Ann Eriksson grew up in the Canadian prairies, migrating to the Gulf Islands of British Columbia in the early 1980s. She now lives in Victoria with her daughter Camas and her partner, poet Gary Geddes. When she isn't mothering, writing or working as a professional biologist she is out exploring the natural world by foot, bicycle, kayak or sailboat. She has traveled in New Zealand, Africa, Europe, Mexico and Central America.
Decomposing Maggie, an exploration of the management of grief, is her first novel. Ann has completed two subsequent novels, The Hands of Anubis, an Egyptian/praire hybrid about transformation of the human soul, and Falling From Grace, a west coast story about big and small things.
So far, Ann has done readings for Grades 5-9 and is also happy to tailor Off The Page presentations to the needs of high school classes.
